Looking for room to rent

Hi, I'm a female working professional looking for a place to stay that is relatively close to city centre, or an easy travel, as I work there. I do have a preference living with females, however am open to living with either as long as the room has a mechanism so I can keep it locked while I'm away.
I'm looking for a place I could for a minimum of a month, and ideally more long term if everything the first month is smooth and there is no major issues.
