Friendly sociologist looking for a room to rent

I’m a health sociologist relocating to London from Sydney for a postdoctoral research position, and I’m seeking a furnished room (including a bed, desk and chair) to rent starting 1 February 2026. I’d prefer a clean, smoke-free and LGBTQ-friendly home, in a location with easy train connections to central London (ideally on or near the Circle, District or Piccadilly lines).

Originally from Singapore, I have lived independently and in shared houses in New York, Boston, Nottingham and Sydney. As a housemate I clean up after myself, and enjoy friendly conversation while respecting personal space. Personality-wise I’m cheerful, optimistic, curious, calm and tidy. I enjoy exploring new cafes and places, catching up on sitcoms, reading, writing, and learning new things (currently, I am learning how to swim after attempting for awhile to learn how to dance... wish me luck!) 🏊🏾‍♂️
