I just moved over to the UK from California to start my job at the University.
I travel a lot for work so a big benefit of having me as a roommate is I will semi-regularly be gone for a week at time every so often.
Generally easy going, but definitely important for to have a roommate who also values keeping the common areas clean, specifically the kitchen.
