Young professional looking for sociable house

A bit about me, I’m 28yo and from a town near Cambridge originally – Huntingdon, which is where the sandwich was invented (honestly). I studied in Leeds then went to Munich for an internship and later in 2020 to the Netherlands for my master’s, where I’ve been working since. I work as a chemical engineer and just got a job in Clapham for a biotech start-up, starting 17th Feb.

In my spare time I like to travel and explore new places, at home and abroad – I’m very keen to find my favourite pub and café. I also like arthouse films, good coffee and cooking when I have time. I absolutely want to take the Dutch cycling culture with me to London and hope to do some cycling trips in my weekends, which my roommates would always be welcome to join! Wherever I am, I am excited to explore some of the live music scene and nightlife as well.

Aside from the obvious of cheaper rent, I’ve always enjoyed living in shared housing. Some of the closest friends I’ve made in each place I’ve lived in have been housemates of mine. I still meet regularly with my housemates in Munich from 7 years ago. That being said I of course respect people’s privacy and am often busy myself working or am away for the weekend. Midweeks I often just make something quick for dinner but I think it’s nice when other people are around to catch up. When we can I think that BBQ’s, movie nights, or having a few drinks is always good shout.
