Artist seeking a double room

I’m looking for a double room in South London, preferably in Lewisham area. My budget is £750-850/month max. Bonus points if it includes bills.

I’m an artist and part time grantwriter (I work from home as I’m fully remote working for a US company). I’m 34 years old and originally from the USA by way of California and Connecticut. I moved to London to do my MA in World Theatres, Performances, & Cultures, which I completed this past Sept 2025. I am Nigerian-American, Igbo, and I consider myself an extrovert sun, introvert moon and ambivert rising, if you speak astrology. :) That is to say I’m friendly and warm and I can yap when the moment calls for it but I also deeply value my alone time to write, read, take walks in the park, watch films, do yoga, and make art (my practice involves performance, poetry/prose, music, dramaturgy, film, ritual theatre, et al). I like laughing and being with friends in-person or on the phone, visiting shows, concerts, art galleries, cinemas, museums and being inside nature or in the sun whenever possible. I love dancing to Afro House & soca, singing, and conversing with folks about their niche interests or cool things they've read & seen. I am very clean and tidy when it comes to common spaces. I like my home to be a peaceful place where I get along with roommates but we also have our solo time. I like to have the occasional friend visit, but I don't make it a daily habit either, and I always check in with roommates before folks stop by. I prefer direct communication about all house related matters or interpersonal conflict, and regular house meetings as needed or agreed upon are great.
