Seeking a nice room, with nice flatmates!

About Me:
Hello! I’m moving back to Manchester after a year of living and travelling around Spain.

Over the past year, I’ve taught English to primary school kids, done bits of rural work (gardening, construction), and I’m currently working in a hostel in south Spain. I've had a wonderful time, but I’m missing having a proper home, my friends, and a bit more stability.

Professionally, I work as a private economics tutor and previously worked as an economist. When I’m back in Manchester, I'm hoping to pick up another job, either working in a school, as an economist again, or something different - I'm still figuring it out!

Outside of work, I’m into art (painting and writing - although, there exists a clear gap between my skill and enthusiasm), music (I’ve really missed Manchester’s scene — I think I’ve had my fill of Spanish reggaeton for now), hiking, and reading. I’m always up for a drink, a gig, or a boogie, but I also really value some quiet, relaxed time.

What I'm Looking For:
I’m hoping to find a comfortable room — ideally a double with some sunlight and enough space to stretch out (hostel bunk life has been humbling!). A house with a garden or some plants would be a big bonus too. Location wise, I'm seeking somewhere which is within 30 minutes of the city centre, via bike, or public transport.

Most importantly, I’m looking for a friendly, relaxed house with considerate, clean housemates. I’m tidy and organised and would love to live with people who are similar. I’d love to live in a house that feels social and friendly — somewhere people chat in the kitchen, maybe share the odd meal, head to the pub together now and then. That said, I really respect personal space and downtime too, and I’m mindful of keeping shared spaces clean and easy for everyone.
