Description
Hi, I’m posting this because I don’t really have another option left.
I’m currently homeless with my dogs. I didn’t give up on them when things fell apart, and they’ve never given up on me, so we’ve stayed together. We’ve survived outside for around six months already and, if it came to it, I could continue doing that.
The problem isn’t me.
It’s the puppies.
One of my dogs is pregnant, (EDIT SHE HAS NO GIVEN BIRTH) and newborn puppies cannot survive outdoors, no matter how experienced or prepared I am. Cold alone can kill them in minutes. I’m doing everything I can keep them safe, but the reality is they need a warm, indoor space for a short period after birth.
I’m looking for a single room for 10–12 weeks only so the puppies can:
• Stay Alive.
• Stay warm and secure
• Grow until they’re old enough to leave for permanent homes
Once that’s done, I won’t need to be indoors anymore and I’m fully prepared to move back out. This is temporary and purely about giving the puppies a chance to live.
Because of council restrictions, I’m currently limited to a single-room allowance of £425 per month. I know that’s below market rate, and I understand this isn’t a typical request. I’m not asking for charity — just compassion, ideally from someone who understands dogs and animal welfare.
About us:
• Two well-behaved dogs (used to living quietly and respectfully)
• I’m clean, calm, and keep to myself
• Happy to agree clear boundaries and a fixed end date
• Vets involved, puppies will be properly cared for
I’m not asking for a long-term solution. I’m asking for time — just enough to make sure innocent animals don’t suffer or die because of circumstances completely outside their control.
If you’re a dog person, or someone who understands how fragile newborn animals are, and you might be able to help — please message me. Even if you’re unsure, I’m happy to talk and answer any questions.
I have since had to deliver and keep the puppies safe in the tent; I’ve acquired a caravan which I am seeking to put in a yard, some land, or a driveway. I can pay more for the caravan pitch than I can for a room as rooms are capped at £425 and these days the price of a room is quite frankly extortionate thereby the government will not pay for it. Hence a caravan I can get likely up to the one bed allowance in your area please search LHA postcode checker to confirm the amount or simply send me the postcode I will tell you what I could offer.
This will need to have access to water and electric. A simple hose or allowing me to fill Jerry cans, and either a single plug or alternatively just charging up a leisure battery and I will purchase multiple to ensure they can be rotated and I don’t end up with no power.
Thank you for reading this.
