Relocation to London from Leeds (for work)

I've recently been made redundant in my role as a Post Office supervisor (Leeds central office). I'm looking for a room to rent in London on a short-mid term basis whilst I seek similar employment in the city.

I have savings & a recently settled redundancy package so although I'm currently seeking employment I'm able to provide proof of finances. I have an excellent credit score & references.


I intend to apply for positions in central London similar to the one I held in Leeds (post office manager) once I procure a London based address.


I also occasionally moonlight as an Opera singer (BMus Leeds college of music, 2008) & perform in several concerts a year. This is something I would like to expand upon down in London.

I'm in a position to pay a deposit & 3 months up front for the right location/price point. Initially, I'm looking for a tenancy of 3-6 months duration but I'd be happy to extend this at the right place.

I would argue I'm a dream tenant to most people. I make no noise (use headphones for TV/Music). I'm an ultra-minimalist - I come with the clothes on my back & a bike. I can't stand clutter & always clean up after myself. Hoping to find similarly respectful, quiet people to live with.
