Looking for a Room Near Warrington – Dog-Friendly

I’m currently living in Ancoats, Manchester, and I’m looking for a room closer to Warrington as I’m starting work as an HGV driver.

Ideally, I’m looking for somewhere within around 10–30 minutes’ drive of Warrington preferably towards Manchester,, although I’m flexible for the right place. I may be working nights and long shifts, so having a quiet, comfortable and respectful home is particularly important to me.

I’m looking for somewhere for around 3–4 nights per week, depending on my work schedule. I’d be open to something temporary initially, but ideally I’d like to stay for at least 6 months if everything works well.

About me

I’m in full-time employment and expect to be working quite a lot of hours, including potentially night shifts. Because of this, I’m generally quite quiet at home and keep to myself during the week.

I’m clean, respectful and easy-going. I naturally like to keep things clean and tidy and always try to clean up after myself after using the kitchen, bathroom or any shared areas. I’m not obsessive about it — everyone has lazy days — but I believe in maintaining a reasonable standard of cleanliness and leaving things as I found them.

If the bathroom is shared, I would always make an effort to leave it clean and tidy after using it.

I’m respectful of other people’s privacy and personal space. I do enjoy going out, having a drink and socialising from time to time, but I also value having a quiet and relaxed home to come back to, especially after working long hours.

In my free time, I enjoy football, going to the gym, gaming on PC, watching films and series, and documentaries, particularly history. I also enjoy keeping active and generally try to look after myself.

About Ashe, my Labrador

I have a lovely Labrador called Ashe, who is a very important part of my life, so I’m specifically looking for a genuinely dog-friendly home where dogs are welcome.

Ashe is extremely affectionate, calm indoors, house-trained and very well behaved. She barely barks, doesn’t cause damage and is used to living indoors. She is honestly a very loving and easy-going dog.

The main thing to be aware of is that, like most Labradors, she does shed hair, so I’m looking for someone who genuinely likes dogs and is comfortable having one around the house.

She is my life, so it’s important to me that whoever I live with actually likes dogs rather than simply tolerating them.

I take full responsibility for her and, depending on my shift pattern, I can arrange a dog walker when needed.

She is in the photos, but I’m more than happy to send additional photos or videos of Ashe if you’d like.

Ideally a minimum stay of around 6 months, although I’m open to discussing this

I’m in full-time employment and can provide proof of employment and references if required.

I’d also be happy to meet beforehand for a coffee and have a chat, so we can get to know each other and make sure we’re both comfortable with the arrangement. You can meet Ashe at the same time, which I think is important when sharing a home with a dog.
