Short Term Sublet-North/East London: 17/04-15/06

Hey there! My name is Mariana and I’m looking for a sublet from 17 April to 15 June (flexible) as I am moving from Australia to London. I'm looking primarily in North / East London as that's where most of my friends live.

As for a little about me, I am 28, from Canada (grew up Vancouver but have also lived in Toronto), and have been in Sydney for the last 3 years. Now I’m moving to London!

Why London? I’ve always wanted to spend a couple of years in Europe to work and travel, and with my younger brother and best friend both living in London now, it feels like the perfect time.

In terms of work, I’m currently a Brand Manager at Single O (the coffee roastery and cafe in Sydney) and before that I was the Marketing Manager of Barry’s Bootcamp APAC. I’ve worked in brand management / marketing since 2019 so I’m hoping to find something similar in the UK.

Outside of work, you will probably find me sipping on a matcha latte, sweating at a workout class (or running, cycling, or swimming), or working on a crafty project. I live a pretty active lifestyle and I’m known to say yes to most plans. I’m also perfectly happy spending time by myself - I love taking myself out on solo dates, reading, or doing my extensive self-care routine.

My friends would call me the glue of our groups as I love to connect people that I love and am always willing to organize a group activity whether that be a dinner party, an outdoor adventure, or a night out. As type-A as I am, my friends would describe me as chill and agreeable and social as I get along with most people. I’m known for my fashion advice, my honest opinions, and thoughtfulness.

As a roommate, I love living with people that are down to be friends! I’m very routine-orientated and like to stick to a schedule (I’m an early bird and LOVE an early bedtime). I am also a very clean roommate and always stay on top of chores (dishes are my biggest pet peeve). I’ve always been friends with my roommates and I’m always down for a hungover morning-after gossip sesh on the weekend or to make dinner together (both weekly occurrences with me and my current roommates).
