Professional seeking calm LT home in East LDN

Hi, I’m Rahil, a professional working at UCL (5+ years, Central London campus), with a background in archaeological science (PhD). I’ve been based in East London for the past eight years and would love to stay in the area if possible.

I have a steady routine between work, yoga and calisthenics, and I really value a clean, well-kept and comfortable home. I’m very tidy and respectful, and keeping shared areas uncluttered and looked after is important to me.

At the same time, I’m sociable and easygoing. I enjoy a friendly atmosphere at home, occasional chats, and a space that feels relaxed and lived-in rather than just somewhere to pass through.

I’m independent day-to-day, but I appreciate a home where people are considerate, respectful of boundaries, and naturally get along. For me, the ideal setup is one that balances friendliness with mutual respect and personal space.

I enjoy meditation, interior design, and creative/tech projects, so I tend to appreciate spaces that feel thoughtful and well cared for.

I have a Brompton and a few plants, I’m mindful of shared areas and keep personal belongings mostly within my room, while bringing a bit of warmth into the space.

I’ve been living long-term in a friend’s flat while they’ve been away, so I’m used to taking good care of a home.

I’m flexible on location depending on the setup, ideally within cycling distance to central London, but also open to a slightly longer commute for the right place.

Budget-wise, I’m generally looking around the £900–1000 range, or up to £1100–1200 for a well-matched all-inclusive setup.
