Difficult Situation

Young at heart, active, employed carpenter, looking for a double room ideally in the Christchurch area but open to other areas. The issue is I have 1 dog, springer spaniel, he's house trained but not great with other animals (doesn't seem so bothered by female dogs though). Fancy a pet in the home but without any of the responsibility or expense? I could be your person! I'm also a carpenter by trade but have skills in anything maintenance wise and always willing to help with these skills. I work 5 days a week and like exercise and am in training for a half marathon for charity. Not a huge party animal so lead a quieter life but not adverse to a good night out. It's a tough ask with a dog in tow but I'm trying desperately not to have to rehome him as he's been with me for 8 years and just not fair on him. Parking nearby would be helpful too.
