Bookish student looking for a calm flat

Hi! I’m a fourth-year University of Edinburgh student completing my MA in English Literature & Classics (currently deferred due to illness), and I’m looking for a room in a warm, easygoing flat.

I tend to keep a fairly quiet rhythm at home—lots of reading, writing, and long walks (often involving feeding the local crows). I’ve lived alone for the past four years and have kept my space meticulously tidy, so I’m very used to maintaining a clean, calm environment and I can be an equally reliable & considerate flatmate.

I’m a sober student who prefers quiet nights in to going out; I’d be best suited to a non-party flat, though I’m always happy to join for a chat or the occasional trip to the pub. I’m vegan and would ideally love to live with other vegan/veggie flatmates, or at least people who are respectful of that. I do smoke, but only outside and I’m always careful to keep things clean and unobtrusive.

Ideally I’d prefer an en-suite, but I’m very happy to share a bathroom with people who are similarly clean and tidy.

I’m looking to move in by mid-june and stay for at least three months to a year. I’d prefer somewhere in Newington (perfect if it’s close to Holyrood where I go for walks!)
