Hi, we're Max and Justine!

I’m 22 years old and will be starting my Master’s in Strategic Studies this September, alongside my girlfriend Justine (21), who will be pursuing Public Policy. We are currently looking for a room(s) or flat in St Andrews.

A bit about us: Justine is French and I’m half German, half English. We both completed our Bachelor’s in International Relations at Leiden University (Netherlands). We are tidy and active people who enjoy socialising, but we also really value quiet evenings at home.

I grew up in several countries, with most of my upbringing in Austria, and I’d describe myself as outgoing, easy to get along with, and respectful of shared spaces (especially when it comes to keeping the kitchen clean). In my free time, I enjoy both playing and watching sports such as rugby and tennis as well as activities like skiing and surfing. Cooking is a big passion of mine, and I enjoy experimenting with new recipes, whether it’s something simple or a more elaborate meal to share. Justine has a similar lifestyle. She enjoys reading, bouldering, and spending time outdoors, whether that’s discovering new shops and cafés or hiking outside of town. We both value a clean, comfortable, and friendly living environment.

Ideally, we would like to move in around mid-August, but we are flexible. Our joint budget is £600-£1300 pcm. We are very open to living with flatmates (including non-students, singles, or couples), and we understand that as a couple we may contribute slightly more towards rent and utilities due to shared space. We would also be happy to rent a studio within this budget.
