Another Aussie in London!

Hello, I’m Dom!

Like so many of my fellow Australians before me, I am making the big move and am leaving Melbourne for London! On that note, this is my first time using Spareroom, so please bear with!

I’m 31 and currently work as professional staff at the University of Melbourne, here in (you guessed it) Melbourne. My partner of 11 years is staying here in Australia living in our home and looming after our beagle.

I am looking for a room in an lgbt+ accepting household and am interested in this part of London as I have a few friends around there already. I love to socialise and would ideally like to have a warm relationship with my housemates, but you can rest assured I also love to potter about quietly by myself too. I am a considerate housemate and am be respectful of shared spaces.

I love to see friends for a pint at a pub and a dance, mooch around a museum by myself, go for a run, or attend the gym to scroll through reels etc etc. I am very excited to live in and explore London (anyone want to show me around?)

I arrive in the London mid May but will be traveling for a few weeks (any recommendations for Albania or Ireland?) before settling in earnest in London 11 or 12 June. Looking at about £1,000pcm. For the right room and household, I’d happily start paying for the room while I am away traveling.
