Description

Hello.
Nisha Halai.
Self-employed Transpersonal Art Therapist and Therapeutic Arts Facilitator, Stone Carver, and Creative Writer.

I can move in anytime in June or the first week of July 2026.

I am looking for a ground floor level 2-bed flat or 1-bed with a large living room, in the areas of :
*. Bristol
*. Stroud
*. Forest Row
*. London

I used to be a professional singer of world music in various bands and choirs, alongside my old corporate banking analyst roles, before a vital career change towards healthcare.

I’m 48 in age - though people would guess I’m in my early 30’s.

Increasingly nowadays, I’m choosing company in community, upholding natural ecology, and the creative social life - as an individual.

I’m a female non-smoking vegetarian teetotaller, who appreciates homemade park picnics with heart-centred conversation.

I’m a London born British Indian person, and thanks to my mother, I can read and write in Gujarati and Hindi, mend buttons, and cook my own Indian meals.
I also speak basic holiday French and Spanish.

What reaches me most, is singing songs from all around the world with people - in overlapping vocal harmonies under the stars.

My Interests: creative writing, conversations, walking, reading, arts, singing, drawing, yoga, ecology, learning to play musical instruments, bouldering, stone carving by hand, baking biscuits, Eurythmy.

What I’m looking for is a place I can call home, with natural sunlight and fresh air, ideally near friendly adults and children (for whom guided transpersonal arts and movement processes for health, are always available).
* furnished or unfurnished space - with a washer-dryer and fridge-freezer.
* high ceilings or plenty of natural light
* storage spaces
* a large living room space
* central heating
* ideally a power shower and a bath-tub
* a non-bedroom space for hanging clothes to dry is useful
* gas hobs, with an oven (an essential for making decent chapatti's).
* somewhere to store my bicycle safely
* access to a garden or nearby green space - if possible.
* I own quite a collection of books, so clear wall spaces for my book shelves would be a helpful addition. (Alternatively, I can place some of the books into storage nearby).

Happy to buddy-up with someone who can imagine living with me in peace. Or I can manage the tenancy myself.
(I'm currently unable to share living space with pets or crying babies). Thank you for your understanding.

On request, I can provide references from my previous landlords and work professionals between 2004 and 2026, who will tell you that I am a clean, tidy, quiet, reliable, and respectful person.

If you have any questions for me, or concerns with my ad introduction, please feel free to send me a message.

Thank you.

Warmly,
Nisha
