19 year old trans & gay guy looking for an LGBTQ+ friendly home Nuneaton or Manchester (I know both places are a bit of a contrast hahaha)

Hi! I’m a 19 year old trans and gay guy currently living in Kent, but I’m looking to relocate to either Nuneaton or Manchester. I’ve always felt more drawn to the North of England and would really like the opportunity to start settling somewhere that feels more like home.

I’m hoping to find a longer term home in an inclusive, LGBTQ+ accepting household where I can feel safe and comfortable being myself.

A little about me:

* I’m 19, but I’d actually prefer to live with slightly older people, ideally around 21–50. I’ve always found I get on particularly well with older people and tend to be more comfortable around people who are on a similar wavelength to me. A predictable and settled household is also really important to me.
* I’m autistic, so I can sometimes struggle with social interaction and be quite quiet or awkward when I first meet people. Once I’ve had time to adjust and get comfortable with someone, I find socialising much easier.
* I’m quite independent and value having my own space and privacy. I’m not looking for a house where everyone has to constantly socialise, but I do enjoy having a conversation and getting to know the people I live with when it feels natural.
* I’m a massive metal music fan, especially Metallica, and I absolutely love going to concerts. 🎸
* I’m looking for an en suite bedroom, as having my own bathroom would give me some much needed privacy and make things considerably more comfortable for me as a trans person.
* I’m hoping for a calm, predictable and respectful household. I personally don’t drink or take drugs, so I’d feel most comfortable living somewhere with a similar lifestyle or where drinking and drug use aren’t a major part of the household. I’m not judgemental about people’s choices I just feel more comfortable in a stable, lowkey environment.
* I’m not currently working, but I’m planning to look for a job once I’ve relocated and had a chance to get settled and find my feet.
* My budget is around £550 per month, ideally with bills included or as much included as possible.

The most important thing for me is finding somewhere where everyone respects each other’s privacy, boundaries and identity. I don’t need to be best friends with the people I live with I’d actually be very happy in a household where everyone can largely do their own thing, while still being friendly and considerate towards each other.

I’m open to living with people of different backgrounds, as long as it’s an LGBTQ+ safe and genuinely inclusive environment.
