Seeking a Calm Home near Ecclesall (I have a 😸)

Hey, I'm Oanh, a 32-year-old female professional living in Sheffield. I'm moving on from owning my own place and am looking for a calm, long-term home to settle. I value a tidy, clean, and peaceful living space and am looking for a shared house with just one other person who is equally considerate and responsible. Since I'm currently living in my own home, I can be flexible with move-in dates to make sure I find the right match.

💰 My budget for rent and utilities is approximately £600, though I am open to stretching a bit for a suitable property that aligns with shared living values.

🧘‍♀️I’m a practicing Buddhist and value a calm, mindful atmosphere for daily meditation. I'm a light sleeper and value my health, so I'm hoping to find a chill home where we're all naturally considerate and respect each other's sleep – simple stuff like being mindful of noise and not slamming doors makes a big difference to me. Since I am quite sensitive to the cold, I am also ideally looking for a place with good insulation and a reliable heating system to stay warm during the winter.

🏘 Having been a homeowner, I’m very house-proud and responsible with bills, maintenance, and energy efficiency. I keep things spotless and always ensure communal spaces are ventilated and dry for the next person (no wet bathroom floors, hair in the sink or crumbs on kitchen countertop!). I've had the same trusted cleaner for six years and would love to share the cost of keeping her if we both want to keep the house extra fresh. Despite having a regular cleaner, I'd expect myself and the person I'm living with to be proactive in keeping the place tidy and sanitary on a daily basis rather than just having a clean house only when the cleaner comes.

🥕🍠🍅 I’m a vegetarian and work near Ecclesall Road, heading into the office a 2-3 times a week. While I’m quite busy and independent, I always enjoy a (deep) conversation or sharing a meal now and then. In my free time, I love pop-folk music (mostly Kpop), photography, making tiktok videos, and walking in the Peaks. I’m always happy to have company on my outings, and I’m down for a karaoke night to sing our lungs out lol.


😸 I'd love to take my lovely well-behaved ginger boy (Mango) with me to the new place if we're buddying up to rent a place together. For lodging, I understand this might be tricky if you already have pets and / or don't want a cat so I'm open for discussion.

I'm also an experienced indoor plant parent 🌿🪴, I can look after your plants when you need help too.


💧It'd be awesome if there was a bidet in the toilet, or if you're cool with us putting one in - I'm happy to split the cost (it's only about £50-£60 to get one installed). It's seriously a game-changer!
