Seeking a place with easy train access and

I'm seeking an ensuite room (single or double) for myself for a two week period in the West Country. My mother's family is from Somerset and I absolutely love southwest England.
I'm a travel writer so I need good wifi though to be honest, I'm not sure how much work I will do since I only have two weeks to explore.
I usually visit a friend who's from North Devon but he's recently relocated to Honiton so anyplace around Exeter would be ideal. However, I could stay In Bristol o r Bath, and take the train to connect with friends as my time is my own.
I'm quiet, tidy, fun, and love to meet new people and learn their story. I'd prefer a place that has a peaceful vibe, and where I can keep some quick meals in the fridge and have a cup of tea in the morning and afternoon.

This will be my fourth summer in England and I always find something new to love. That said, I can't wait for some fish and chips from my favorite place in Saunton, and a good Sunday roast.

I have no flexibility on dates unfortunately. Oh and I need easy as in walking within 20 minutes of the train station. Cheers!
