Friendly South African looking for SW London home

Hi! I’m Dianne - a 36-year-old South African who’s been living in London for just over two years, and I’m looking for a home in Clapham, Balham, Tooting or Wimbledon (or anywhere well connected nearby).

Budget-wise, I’m looking at around £1000pcm.

I work in creative operations for a European pet food company. I’m usually office-based during the week, but it would be great to have the flexibility to occasionally work from home if the space allows.

I’m easygoing, sociable and very considerate to live with - always up for a chat, shared meal, glass of wine or spontaneous “just one Aperol”, but equally happy doing my own thing too. Definitely a fan of a home that feels calm, comfortable and friendly rather than just somewhere people pass through.

Outside of work, I love being outdoors whenever possible - whether that’s unwinding in a garden after work, finding a sunny pub spot, or hosting a braai when the weather cooperates. I’m also always on the hunt for a good swimming spot (more floating around than athletic laps 😅). I’m into barre, Pilates and pole, and currently looking for a new gym depending on where I land.

I’m just as happy with a cosy night on the couch watching trash TV as I am heading out for dinner or drinks.

I’d especially love a place with some kind of outdoor space - garden, terrace or balcony would be a huge bonus.

I’m also a massive dog lover and proud dog aunt, so a home that allows or is comfortable with dogs visiting occasionally would be ideal (although not a dealbreaker).
