Temporary Home Sought

Hi, I'm Emma — 53, quietly driven, and looking for a temporary base on the Kent coast while I get my new Community Interest Company off the ground.

I've recently returned from a research trip to Auroville in South India and I'm now setting up a CIC focused on urban ecological growing, natural products, and community. It's an exciting moment and I need a calm, friendly place to work from.

As a housemate I'm quiet, tidy, and genuinely easy to live with. I love cooking — I've run two pop-up restaurants — and I'm currently developing a small-batch range of botanical syrups and kombuchas, so kitchen access matters to me. I'd be making small batches occasionally, nothing disruptive, and I'd probably feed you well in return.

I also love hiking, gardening, and good conversation when the moment is right. I'm not looking to be anyone's best friend from day one, but I do like a warm, sociable house where people are present and kind.

Looking for somewhere I can feel settled while this next chapter takes shape. Happy to chat before anything formal — always better to get a feel for each other first.
