Seeking Summer Sublet for August & Sept (Flexible)

Hello, my name is Josh! I am a 28-year old queer American man that is looking to sublet a furnished room for the summer in London. :)

I work fully remote in partnership management for a nonprofit focused on responsible AI, and I'm taking advantage of that flexibility to finally spend a proper stretch of time in the city. I've visited a few times before and always left wishing I could stay longer.

I like to spend my free time going to concerts/live shows (particularly EDM), practicing yoga, mindfulness/meditation, visiting museums, watching cinema and theatre, thrifting, swimming, playing volleyball or pickleball, enjoying time in nature, and generally soaking up the queer culture wherever I land. I always welcome suggestions on how to best spend my time too. :)

I am not a huge cook and would like to explore the London food scene as much as possible, so I do not expect to take up too much time/make a mess of things in the kitchen often!

I like to consider myself a clean, open-minded, and self-aware individual who has lived with flatmates for over a decade now (and grew up sharing with two sisters!) so I know what it means to cohabitate a space and be a good steward of someone's furnishings.

I would love to make friends with whoever I may be living with for the summer and open to group house activities, but also very comfortable with having my own life and no expectations that that is a necessity. I am comfortable living with flatmates of any gender expression and/or sexual orientation.

One practical note: I will be working East Coast US hours, so I'll have meetings scattered between roughly 4–10pm London time most days. Happy to figure out what works for the house and if evening calls are disruptive for others, I am planning on looking into co-working spaces nearby that are open late.

I am flexible on neighborhood, but I have a preference for being central/having easy access to public transit. Ideally looking to stay at £1200 pcm or less for the room, but my budget is flexible for the right fit. My exact move-in dates are flexible and I can move in as soon as July 19th and can vacate a room as early as September 25th if needed. While I won't be in the UK until mid-July, I am more than happy to set up a time to FaceTime to talk through any questions you may have for me.
