Description
(Use the "Show Interest" button if you don't have premium!! :D)
Heyhey! I'm Andy, a non-binary young professional moving down from Scotland for a creative technology job in Shoreditch (right next to Old Street station to be specific). Ideally I wanna be besties with the flatmates I'll be living with for the near future, hence why I'm taking to here to try and find some folks <3
I'm happy with both joining an existing household as well as buddying up in collaborative search for a new household - either works for me! I'm looking to move in from the start of September, but am happy to bounce around some short-term accommodation for a short while if need be.
A bit about me:
- I'm 20 this year, but I promise I'm mature enough - I've been fully independent for several years now, and left uni early to start full-time employment
- I was born and grew up in Scotland, but immigrant parents means I don't particularly have a Scottish accent (and also I speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and Russian!)
- I'm a musician, and play piano and percussion. I've also dabbled in composition (both traditional and electronic music production), and am slightly nerdy about synths & audio engineering
- Other notable hobbies of mine include parkour, pole dance, conference speaking, climbing/bouldering (just barely started!), indie games, and making bad puns
- By default I can seem quite reserved, but when I'm dipped in the right flavour of neurodivergent unfiltered social environment then I can start to really glow :>
- The light-hearted persona I often tend to adopt can be a bit misleading and I do love deep / introspective conversations as well!
- I've got a desire to learn more fashion/makeup/cosplay/self-expressive arts - if you have any similar interests then I'd absolutely love to learn from you!!
My ideal living environment:
- Most of all, I'd love to get super close-knit and comfy around my flatmates and vice versa! A household where the vibe is like a close unfiltered friend group (think sleepovers, doing each other's nails, group dinners and outings, etc) is the absolute best imo, and if that's achieved, I can/will contribute very heavily towards the communal space :>
- Location-wise I'm looking at central-east London - ideally close (~10min walk) to a TfL station and within cyclable range to Shoreditch. Example keywords include Hackney, Shoreditch, Stratford, Hoxton, Dalston, Bethnal Green, Haringey/Harringay, Islington, Camden.
- I'm also very happy to consider any other location within ~30min commute of Old Street by any means of transport, as well as anywhere on the Northern (tube) or Great Northern Trains (national rail) lines
- I'll be working 9-6 Mon-Fri and will be usually out of the house for these hours, but otherwise home will likely be my default place!
- I enjoy having friends over every now and then, but am happy to keep them locked to the quiet confines of my room. Inversely I'm also super duper happy for you to have people over whenever!
- I don't mind smokers as long as you don't smoke indoors!
---
so uhm, yea! If any of this takes your fancy then please do shoot me a message!! I'll try to get back to all of yous asap 🫡
Oh, and if you've read through allat (good on ya!) and there's something that you'd like to know then please do ask!! I'm a totally open book, no questions are too awkward or private, and if I've missed something obvious then I'll edit it into the post :>
Don't get squashed or mashed,
