Double Room Wanted or Studio Flat / One Bed

I am in my early 40s looking for a small to medium house share within easy reach of Todmorden by public transport or on foot. I am looking for an ideally spacious double room where I can also work from home online (I also work in Todmorden, so not full time working from home), and have space for relaxation and double bed. I have some furniture so there needs to be space for this (no bed though yet). Ensuite a bonus, but not essential, or a studio flat type arrangement would be considered.

Rent budget inclusive of bills around £550-600pcm max for a spacious double room, or up to £700pcm if a one bed studio/flat with bills ideally. Would consider Hebden Bridge too. Need to be close to main transport links e. g. station / buses, as I do not drive, so can't be too rural.

I am neurodivergent, queer, and need to live in a calm, relaxed and friendly house share with folks who like to contribute to house care and responsibility for cleaning etc and good clear communication. Absolutely done with arguments over washing up and recycling etc in house shares!! Must be LGBTQ+ friendly.

I am open to lodging if this means I can come and go as I need to (I've had some dodgy lodging experiences unfortunately!), and can have friends to visit or stay occasionally, and am always keen to cook for housemates as well as socially. Love a bit of gardening too if there's an outside space, I am happy to take care of it or contribute. Also love animals and pets. But do not have any, though happy to contribute there too.

I also value peaceful nights, especially on weekdays, and my work requires good WiFi and quiet surroundings. I also enjoy being in community-minded house shares when sharing communal spaces. Board games/gaming, films, cups of tea, shared meals...I am open to such, whilst also respectful of own space/not socialising every night.

I have many interests but there's a few highlighted here in my profile. Most of my interests are nature based, or involve the arts and music or books / topics I am researching! Love live music, festivals, travel and mini adventures into the valley or beyond...
