Incoming postgraduate seeking tenancy in London

Hello everyone, my name is Sharang 😊

I’m moving to London this autumn for postgraduate study, and I’m currently looking for a room or flatmates near UCL’s main campus, or elsewhere within the M25 with an easy commute to UCL by the Tube or other forms of public transport. I’m looking for a private bedroom, ideally with an en-suite bathroom.

I’d ideally like to live in an area such as King’s Cross, Camden Town, Islington, Bloomsbury or Euston. I’m also open to Finsbury Park, Tottenham Hale, Seven Sisters, Alexandra Palace or Harringay. My budget is around £750–£1,000 per month, including bills, although I’m flexible depending on the location.

A little about me:

- I’m from Mumbai, India, and will be starting a combined MRes + PhD programme in Photonic and Electronic Systems at UCL and the University of Cambridge.

- I spent most of my 20s in the US, where I completed my master’s degree at Texas A&M University–Kingsville. I later worked in the consumer electronics industry in Seattle for more than three years.

- I’ll be arriving in London around the second week of September.

- I enjoy travelling, hiking, exploring new places, playing video games, cooking, playing football and other sports, and meeting new people.

- I’m organised, tidy, a bit of a neat freak, respectful, easy-going and mindful of shared spaces.

- I’d love to live with friendly flatmates who are sociable but also respect each other’s personal space.
