Postgrad looking for accommodation

Hello! I’m a 30 year old American student planning to start a graduate course at MMU this fall. This will be my second graduate degree, as I’m just finishing up my current program here in the US in wildlife management. I’ve previously worked as an adult educator in the US and as a high school educator for 2 years in Japan. My hobbies include reading, art and drawing, playing games with friends, swimming, long walks, and cafe-hopping. I’m excited to start this next chapter of life in the UK and get to experience all Manchester has to offer!

I’m looking to share a place with 1-3 other professionals or mature/postgraduate students, or for a studio/1 bed for myself. I’d like to be no more than 25 minutes away from campus and close to public transit, but I’m flexible on which neighborhoods. I’m looking for somewhere furnished and relatively updated, and with an en-suite/private bathroom if sharing with others. I’d prefer a room with space for a desk as well for schoolwork. I will be arriving in the UK at the beginning of September, so unfortunately I cannot move in any earlier. I’ll be able to provide guarantor details and (US) professional references if necessary, along with proof of right to rent.

I’m a tidy and low-key lodger, and I appreciate having my own private space and living comfortably.
