Room Wanted in East Sussex/Kent

Hi, I'm looking for a room in a friendly house, I am 62 but I don't have any preference as to the ages of housemates.
I am a school librarian so will be on summer holidays soon.
I am moving to East Sussex and need somewhere to rent until I can purchase my own place.
I have been lodging in Uckfield during the working week while the sale of my family home completed. I now need somewhere to stay seven days a week until I find my new home. I'm actively looking to buy, although I appreciate the timescale is a little open-ended, so I'm hoping to find someone who is happy with that arrangement.
I'm easy-going, tidy, considerate, and respectful of other people's space. I enjoy a friendly chat but also appreciate everyone's privacy and independence. I'm simply looking for a relaxed, comfortable home with kind, like-minded people. I get on very well with my current landlady's dog, so living with a dog would be a bonus!
I enjoy gardening, (miss my own garden) visiting gardens and historic houses, walking, theatre and the arts, need to discover what East Sussex has to offer.
