I’m a 42-year-old professional looking for a double room in London from 1 August 2026, with a budget of up to £1,000 per month.

I lived in London throughout my 20's and early 30's and really loved house-sharing at that time. I came out of a long-term relationship over a year ago, and now feel ready to move back to London, reconnect with old friends, meet new people and find somewhere that genuinely feels like home.

Not a biggy but bike storage would be IDEAL! Otherwise I can explore other solutions.

I’m clean, tidy and respectful. I like having my own space and quiet time, but I’m also friendly, approachable and happy to have a chat or share the occasional meal or drink.

I worked as an arts & culture festival organiser for over 12 years, but I’ve now retired from muddy fields and work in admin, with a bit of lecturing on the side. Life is definitely a lot calmer these days. When I'm not busy working all hours, I’m usually found knitting in front of Netflix, cooking a Sunday roast, playing backgammon or being a complete pasta monkey. I probably eat pasta at least three times a week! I also love a podcast while I’m cleaning - and genuinely enjoy a good cleaning session!

I’d be happy sharing with men or women of any age. I’m mainly looking for a relaxed, friendly and respectful home, and ideally somewhere with 'shared housemate vibes' rather than feeling like a lodger in someone else's home. (Mainly so I feel comfortable with a good clean, cooking, and a spot of gardening!)

I do not smoke at home, but I like the occasional naughty roll-up with a glass of wine in a pub garden. You can take the girl from the festival..., but you just can't take the festival from the girl it seems! ; s
