Canadian/French •cozy home, cooking & museums

Hi! I’m Emma, a 20-year-old Canadian/French student currently taking a gap year to live in the UK, improve my English, and have new experiences. My main academic interest is international relations.

I may be working full-time, but it is more likely that I will be working part-time so that I have enough time to explore London, take part in different activities, and make the most of my year here.

I am looking for a flatmate with whom I could also become friends. I am not the type to go clubbing or drink much. However I really enjoy to go out for dinner, discovering nice cafés and restaurants or simply going for a walk. At home, I like a calm and cozy atmosphere, and I would love to live with someone who enjoys chatting, sharing a meal from time to time, or doing activities together. I also enjoy having some time to myself, so I completely respect other people’s personal space and quiet time.

I love cooking healthy meals, and I would be happy to cook for us sometimes if you’d like. I especially enjoy Italian and Asian cuisine. I can make homemade fresh pasta, risotto, soups, broths, sauces, gravlax, and many other dishes from scratch. I am also learning how to make bread, and I always enjoy trying new recipes.

I like museums, art galleries, antique shops, classical art, classical music (I had violin classes in Canada)and I recently developed an interest in opera so I would love to attend one while I’m in London. I also enjoy conferences and will definitively be looking to attend many during this year.
