Looking for a peaceful home in Edinburgh

Hi! I'm Diana.

I'm planning to move to Edinburgh from early August or September. I've visited a few times over the years, most recently not long ago, and each time I've left thinking "okay, I actually need to live here." So this is me finally doing something about it.

I work remotely, freelance, as a Social Media Manager and Video Editor - mostly for mental health and wellness brands. It means my weekdays are fairly steady and laptop-based, but also that I'm not tied to an office, which is part of why the move is possible in the first place.

Outside of work I like exploring - cafés, bookshops, galleries, the cinema, taking photos, or just walking until I find somewhere new. I've also got a long-running fascination with psychology and a soft spot for arthouse and sci-fi films and tv shows, extra points if it's something weird, sublime / awe-inspiring, or atmospheric.

I'm hoping my first few months in Edinburgh are mostly about exploring - figuring out which neighbourhood actually feels like mine, where the good food is, that kind of thing.
As a flatmate, I'm quiet, tidy, respectful and generally pretty easygoing, I like a home that feels calm rather than chaotic, and I'm just as happy having a low-key catch-up in the kitchen as I am keeping to myself after a long day. Mostly I just appreciate living with people who are considerate and easy to get along with.

Looking for a room for a minimum of two months, ideally, though I'm flexible if somewhere feels like a genuinely good fit.
