Hi! I'm a 24-year-old software engineer working in Canary Wharf, looking for someone to split a 2-bed/2-bath flat with in Canada Water, moving in mid-September.
The setup: I've been living in a 1-bed flat in Maple Quays (same development) for the past month, and I'm now looking to move into a 2-bed/2-bath and split it with a flatmate. Rent for the flats I'm looking at is around £2.7k excluding bills. My budget is £1.5k excluding bills, so hoping to split fairly based on room/bathroom size.
Why Canada Water over Canary Wharf itself: the Jubilee line here puts you 3 minutes from Canary Wharf and 16 minutes from Bond Street. Unlike most Canary Wharf residential buildings (which are closer to DLR rather than tube) , you're literally next to the Jubilee and Overground Windrush station, no 15-minute walk needed to get there.
What's on the doorstep: gym, Tesco Extra, a shopping mall, Boots, a sports centre, and food trucks, all part of a waterside development with plenty of outdoor space to hang out in.
