Looking for a room – SOAS MPhil/PhD Student

Hello!

My name is Wintana, and I’m moving to London in September to begin my MPhil/PhD in Political Science and International Studies at SOAS. Before starting my studies, I worked as a Senior Political Adviser at the British Embassy in Addis Ababa, and I’ll now be focusing full-time on my research.

I’m looking for a comfortable, well-kept home where people are respectful of each other’s space. I’m clean, tidy, considerate, and easy to live with. I enjoy cooking, reading, exploring London, and spending time outdoors, but I’ll mostly be busy with my studies and research. I’ll also travel back to my home country from time to time during university breaks.

What I’m looking for:
• A furnished room with space for a desk.
•A friendly, relaxed and respectful household.
•A commute to SOAS that is practical (I’m open to different areas, though North, North West and Central London are my preference).
• Budget: up to £800 per month.

Deal breakers:
• More than five people sharing the property.
• Very noisy or party-focused households.
• Homes where cleanliness and respect for boundaries and shared spaces aren’t valued.
