PhD student looking for room from Sep/Oct 2026

Hi, I am Colin, currently studying full-time as a PhD student in physics at Durham University. I am looking for a tidy and well-maintained room to rent from around Sep 2026 for at least a whole calender year.

Looking for:
- Somewhere in DH1 in walking/cycling/bus distance to campus.
- From Sep/Oct 26 (no maximum terms)
- Single/double furnished room
- Around £800 pcm (less is of course also fine)

I am usually in the office or lab on campus on Mon-Fri. Prefer somewhere quiet to relax after work, but am also happy to socialise anytime. I try to keep a work-life balance by maintaining my hobbies, includes olympic weightlifting and exploring different video game genres. My other interests includes travelling, exploring different culture/food, going on short walks and a bit of cooking.

I have been sharing flates/house for some time. Very used to living with other people with different schedules, quite flexible, respecting others' personal space and keen on keeping the place tidy and clean (from bedroom to bathroom and kitchen). Ideally would like to share with other post-graduates or young professionals.
