Canadian Looking for Furnished Room in September

Hello! I'm Khadija, 28 years old.

About me: I'm a Black lesbian woman from Toronto, Canada, looking to live with other housemates that are queer or are queer friendly. I'm moving to Bristol to be a Teaching Assistant at a Secondary school. Currently, I work in live events at a book festival and environment spaces in Toronto.

What I'm looking for: a furnished room (bed, desk, chair, and dresser) in Bristol in September. Would love to live in a place where we don't treat each other like strangers and at least get to know one another. I love getting to know other people's interests and finding ways to do things together with housemates.

What I like to do: I spend lots of my time watching indie movies with friends and current lovely queer housemates (pictured in some of the photos), going to clothing swaps, reading and community events. I enjoy chatting with housemates (pictured in some photos) over tea and doing communal activities together like baking chocolate banana muffins, attending local film festivals, and thrifting. Currently, I've been into gardening (bad at it but some veggies have been yielded!), rollerblading and going to outdoor film screenings at parks.

Preferences: non-smoking home, washer, accessible by public transit, and people that are leftist in terms of values. Oh, if you have a cat, that's a bonus for me!

Budget: 750 with bills included or under.

It will be my first time living in the UK, so I'm excited and would love to live with housemates that are communicative, clean and open to doing activities with.
