Incoming PhD looking for a friendly flatshare

Hi, I’m Subhashish, 26, from Assam, India, currently living in Germany, and moving to Edinburgh to start my PhD at the University of Edinburgh, School of Engineering, from 1 September.

I’m looking for a friendly shared flat where people are kind, respectful, and easy to live with. I’d prefer something long-term, because once I start my PhD I’d really like to settle properly and not move around too much.

I’ve lived in shared accommodation in Germany for the last few years with people from many nationalities, ages, and backgrounds, so I’m very used to communal living. I’m tidy, non-smoker, and mindful of shared spaces.

I like cooking, tea, books, walks, history, and Indian classical music. I enjoy being around people — kitchen chats, shared meals sometimes, or just a friendly home atmosphere — but I also respect everyone’s space and routines.
