Looking for a room, studio or 1 bed flat

I'm Toby, 48 years old, gay man, he/him, vegan. Progressive, interested in politics, community, society and culture. Creative, professional, like being active and healthy, really into music, easy-going, good-natured, fun and relaxed, but grown-up. I prefer a pleasant and nice environment to live in to a messy, dirty one, and come with plants (currently around 20) which I feel add warmth and ambience to a space.

I'm looking for somewhere that I can relax and feel comfortable in. For me that means tidy and well-kept but not pristine, cold and bare. A home rather than a showroom, but equally, adult rather than teenagers home alone when the parents have gone away for the weekend. Ultimately though it comes down to the people and group dynamic. I’m more of a mutual respect, cooperation-over-competition, independent kind of guy and not a fan of social hierarchies or interpersonal politics and power games. Open-minded, free-spirited, responsible and reasonable and with the added advantage of plenty of life experience. I speak English (first language), French and basic Spanish.

Ideally I need to move before 24th August but there can be some flexibility around that for the right place. I have references and deposit. Non-smoker, no pets, no children.

Budget can depend on exact area as I receive Universal Credit, even when I'm working, as hospitality doesn't always have fixed-hour contracts.

And if I go down this road, my budget for a studio or 1-bed flat would be ~£1200, but also dependant on exact postcode. (Yes it's a bizarre and complicated system that even my AI struggled to get to grips with).
