Quiet, Respectful Imperial PhD Student (Aeronautics) Seeking Flatshare in West London

Hi everyone!

My name is Meijiao Wang, and I am a 26-year-old male, incoming fully-funded PhD Researcher in Aeronautics at Imperial College London (South Kensington campus).

My PhD is sponsored by EPSRC, meaning my funding is fully guaranteed for the next 3.5 years, with full coverage of tuition fees and an annual tax-free stipend of £22,780. I treat my research like a full-time 9-to-5 job, so I’ll be spending most of my weekdays in the university lab or library.

As a flatmate, I am quiet, independent, and extremely tidy (I am very disciplined about keeping shared kitchens and bathrooms spotless!). I am a non-smoker, don't drink, and have no interest in party houses. I am a bit on the introverted side, but very easy-going, friendly, and always up for an occasional kitchen chat or a casual dinner with housemates. (Also, I absolutely love cats and dogs, so having pets in the house is a huge plus for me!).

I am looking for a comfortable double room to call home in a safe and peaceful household.

1. Preferred Areas: Hammersmith (W6), West Kensington / Barons Court (W14), Earl's Court (SW5), Fulham (SW6), or Bayswater (W2). Ideally within a 15-20 min cycle to South Kensington.

2. Budget: £850 - £1,050 per calendar month (including all bills, utilities, and Wi-Fi).

3. Move-in Date: My flight lands on September 18th, 2026. I am ideally looking for a mid-September move-in, but I am happy to discuss starting the contract in early September to meet the landlord in the middle.

4. Flatmates: Ideally looking to share with quiet, clean, and respectful postgraduate students or working professionals who value privacy but also enjoy a warm, friendly home environment.

5. The Room: Must be furnished. Since I will need to study and read papers at home occasionally, I'll need enough space in the bedroom to fit a study desk and a chair.

6. Guarantor & Reference: As an international student, I can use the Imperial College Official Rent Guarantor Scheme (where the university acts as my legal UK guarantor) to support monthly rent payments, or my parents can act as guarantors. I have all my official funding letters and bank statements ready.
