Room Wanted in East London, 2 Indoor Cats, Ual Lcf

I’m Lisa, 35, from Germany, and I’m moving to London in September to start a Master’s at UAL in Stratford. I’m currently looking for a room in a shared house or flat with other adults.

I’m looking for more than just a place to sleep. I’d love to find a friendly, relaxed home where people actually enjoy living together, while still respecting each other’s space and independence.

A little about me: I’ve spent the last five years commuting between Berlin and Hannover while working in tech industry. I’m now making a career change into the fashion industry. I’m into music, fashion, subculture, old cars and instagram.

I’m also quite practical and hands-on. My current flat in Hannover was renovated by me and my flatmate, so I’m definitely not afraid of DIY, painting, decorating or getting my hands dirty.

One important thing: I’ll be moving with my two 13-year-old indoor cats. They’re a Maine Coon Birma mix, very calm, affectionate and well behaved. Interestingly, they have proven to be quite allergy-friendly, as several friends with cat allergies don’t react to them.

Ideally East London, especially around Stratford, Leyton, Hackney, Forest Gate, Mile End, Bow or nearby, but I’m open to other areas with good transport links to UAL Stratford.

I’m looking for something reasonably priced and would be open to different arrangements, including a house share where I can contribute with practical help around the house.
