Visiting PhD researcher looking for a quiet ensuit

Hi! I'm Mariana, a Brazilian PhD researcher and Portuguese teacher moving to Birmingham for a nine-month research visit at the University of Birmingham. I'm looking for a place to call home from mid-September 2026.

I'm friendly, easy-going and sociable. I enjoy good conversations, sharing ideas and experiences, learning about different cultures, and having a coffee or a meal together, while also respecting everyone's privacy and personal space. I also love animals, so I don't have any problems in living in a home with pets! And, as a Portuguese teacher, I'd be more than happy to teach you some Portuguese if you're interested! :)

I'm ideally looking for an ensuite room or studio not too far from the University of Birmingham. Having access to a kitchen or a small space where I can prepare my own meals is also important to me, as I enjoy cooking.

I'm tidy, respectful and responsible, and I'll be spending much of my time at the university during the week.
