UoE PhD student, room near George Square

Hello,

I'm Xitong, a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, looking for a room from 6 September to around 6 October. I'd happily stay on longer if that suits you - a month is simply the minimum I need, not a maximum.

Where: anywhere within about a 20-minute walk of George Square - Newington, the Southside, Marchmont, the Old Town, Tollcross and thereabouts all work well. I'll be on the central campus most days, so being able to walk in matters to me more than anything else.

Budget: up to £1,000 per month.

About me: I'm quiet and tidy, I keep regular hours, and I don't smoke or have pets. I'm not after a party flat - somewhere calm that I can also work from is ideal. A single or a double room both suit me.

One small note, with apologies if it sounds fussy: I'm hoping to rent directly from a live-in or private landlord, or from a current flatmate, rather than through a letting agency. Nothing against agencies at all - it's simply that a short let like mine tends to be much easier to arrange one to one. I hope you'll understand.

I arrive in Edinburgh around 6 September, so I can do a video viewing before then and see a place in person as soon as I land. I can move quickly.
