Chilean psychologist/UCL student + tiny SVAN dog:)

Hi! I’m Daniela, a 28-year-old social/community psychologist from Chile, moving to London on 2 September with my little sidekick Alfalfa 🐶 — a 5½-year-old, 7.5 kg dachshund mix and trained assistance dog. We come as a little package!

I’m moving to London to start a Master’s in Education and International Development at UCL. I’ll be staying for around a year and a half, although ideally I’m looking for an initial 6-month tenancy, with the possibility of extending if it’s a good fit. I have savings and sufficient funds for my stay, and I’ll probably look for some part-time work once I’ve settled into uni life.

I’m introverted, easy-going, warm and respectful. I like having a friendly relationship with the people I live with — chatting in the kitchen, occasionally cooking together or sharing a drink — while also really valuing independence, quiet time and everyone having their own space. I’m clean and tidy, especially in communal areas.

I love plants and gardening, reading, camping, long walks, musicals, cooking improvised recipes and exploring new places. I’m also currently learning to repair bikes! I’m LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent, so I’d love to find a friendly and inclusive home where everyone can comfortably be themselves.

I’m happiest when I have a bit of outdoor space. At home in Chile I love sitting on my balcony with a book, some sunshine and a breeze — it’s how I recharge my internal battery. Alfalfa usually joins me and finds the sunniest spot for a nap ☀️🌿

Alfalfa is a very easy little flatmate: quiet, clean, fully house-trained, incredibly sleepy and she hardly ever barks. She doesn’t damage things, is used to apartment living and is fine being left on her own, although as my assistance dog she usually comes out with me. She’s a little shy at first but very affectionate once she trusts you, and she gets along well with both dogs and cats.

More than anything, I’d love to find somewhere that feels like a home rather than just a room — friendly and relaxed, where we can enjoy each other’s company while still having our own lives and space.
