25-year-old looking for a room in London | 16 Sep – 20 Dec | 5 year experienced in house share

Hi! I’m 25, currently working in cybersecurity, and moving to London on 16 September 2026 for around three months to look for a role with a tech startup. Currently working in cybersecurity.

I’m looking for a private, furnished room in a shared house or flat, ideally with easy access to the Elizabeth, Hammersmith or District lines. I’m particularly interested in Stratford, Forest Gate, East Ham, Shoreditch, Angel/Islington and surrounding areas, but I’m flexible for the right place.

Budget: £600–£850 pcm including bills

Shared bathroom/kitchen: Absolutely fine

I’ve lived in shared houses since I was 18, including around 7 years of renting in Australia, and genuinely enjoy house-sharing. I’m clean, respectful and considerate of shared spaces, while also being independent and giving people their own space.

I’ll be in London mainly focusing on my job search, so I’ll have a fairly regular and quiet routine. I’m also sociable and enjoy getting to know housemates—always happy to chat, share a meal or hang out.

Outside of work, I play a bit of acoustic guitar, go to the gym most evenings and meal-prep during the week. I’m also a keen cook and very comfortable sharing a kitchen and cleaning up after myself.

I’m looking for a friendly, comfortable house where everyone respects each other’s space and enjoys living together.
