Description
Hi, I’m Jaya (he/him), 25, and I’m looking for a room in Manchester while I continue my education in architecture. I’m about to start my MArch at Manchester School of Architecture, so I’m hoping to find somewhere within roughly a 35-minute walk of the Oxford Road building.
I was born in the UK and grew up in Canada when I was younger, before returning to the North of England for school and university. My mum is English and my dad is Indonesian. I have two brothers, two nephews, and have been with my partner for nearly seven years.
I’m very sociable and enjoy meeting new people, although I’ll probably be pretty busy with my course. That said, anything that gets me out of my head for an evening is always welcome, so I’m more than happy to socialise and get to know the people I live with.
I’m vegetarian but completely happy living with people who eat meat. I’d consider myself a considerate and easy-going housemate — I keep things clean, keep my bills low, and enjoy cooking. I always clean up after myself and I’m happy to follow whatever works for the house, whether that’s bin or cleaning rotas or the occasional group dinner.
At the moment I’m into climbing, music and birdwatching, although I’ll generally give most things a go.
My budget is around £500–£680 per month, excluding bills. I’m looking for somewhere friendly and comfortable where I can settle in while I get through the next stage of my studies.
Feel free to message me if you think I might be a good fit for your house!
