Reliable professional seeks room commutable to the IDRM Building or the Old Road Campus Research Building [Roosevelt Drive, Headington, Oxford OX3] or the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre [Windmill Rd, Oxford OX3 ], bills included, 600pcm-ish, from Feb/Mar 2026

Hello there. I am a statistician in my late 50's. I live near Southampton but I am doing a medical statistics research job in the Old Road Campus on Roosevelt Drive, Oxford. The commute is implausible so I intend to rent a room for three nights a week for at least one year. I will be travelling back home on Friday and travelling to Oxford each Tuesday night.

I have rented out a room to a lodger myself so I understand the concerns of a landlord. Prior to me becoming a homeowner I rented out rooms where I worked, so I also know how to be a good lodger. So please be assured that I pay rent regularly without having to be reminded, I do not smoke, I do not use drugs, I do not play loud music, I am clean and moderate in my daily life, I am reliable and I am a good lodger.

Should you have a room for rent close enough to the Old Road Campus Research Building, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, or bus routes 10, 15, 100, 700, OX7, ST2, or U5 (I can't drive) for/near that rent then I would be very glad if you could contact me please

Tues night to Thurs night stay preferred. Mon night to Thurs night, or Sun night to Thurs night stay acceptable.

PS. Please note I have compromised circulation in my legs. Because of this I find it difficult to tolerate cold temperatures. This isn't really a problem, but if you have a house/flat that's usually cold in winter, or are reluctant to heat the house, then I'll need to know beforehand.
