Looking for a room in a flatshare

Hello, I’m Ross.

I’m currently looking for a room from the end of July.

I’m aiming to get onto the property ladder this year, so I’m ideally looking for somewhere for around 3–6 months while I get everything in place for a purchase.

My preference would be living with a live-in landlord, but I’d also be keen to hear from existing flatshares.

A bit about me:

I’m 45 and work as an architect in Shoreditch, mostly office-based with the occasional WFH day. I’m keen to keep my commute to around half an hour by public transport or cycling. I’ve lived in London flatshares for several years, and many of my previous flatmates have become good friends.

I’m easy-going, tidy, and considerate, and very mindful of living in someone else’s space. I’m reliable with rent, clean up after myself, and generally keep things easy and low-maintenance.

I enjoy a friendly, relaxed home environment—happy to share a meal or head to the pub now and then, but also very comfortable doing my own thing and keeping a good balance.

Outside of work, I like to stay active. I’m part of a local running group and regularly sign up for half marathons and the occasional marathon. I also love to travel and am keen to explore more of Europe by train.

What I’m looking for:

- A double room in a clean, well-looked-after flat
- Ideally with a live-in landlord (but open to the right setup)
- A friendly, respectful household rather than a party house
- Good transport links into central London

My budget is up to around £1,500 per month inclusive of bills.
