***I DON'T RESPOND TO AGENTS!***
Hi there!
I'm Stella, and I've recently relocated back to the UK after spending some time abroad. I am currently looking for a job in the green sector in the greater Bristol area.
I'm looking for a place to feel at home, where I can "find my feet" again in Bristol, where I've lived throughout all of my 20's. I'll consider HMOs (max. 3 O's), sharing with a live-in owner (lady, preferably), self-contained, and buddy-ups! My budget is only an indication, depending on what it is I am renting of course. I have the luxury of flexibility in how much time I take in choosing a suitable housing option, as I have a place to stay until I choose to move out.
It's difficult to look for a house without a job, but it is equally difficult to look for a job without a house... I hope you can give me a chance, and keep reading. I can, of course, provide references and a guarantee, if required. You'll notice that conciseness is not my strongest suit, but hopefully by the end of this short essay you will have an idea of whether this could be a good fit! ;)
*ABOUT ME*
I am a woman (she/her), in my early 30's. I define myself as a "sociable introvert": I have friends and crave connection, but I then need to retreat to my own self. I tend to do this at home, so I treat it as my sanctuary. I do have to say I do enjoy a quiet home environment and I'm not the sort who'll have a house-gathering every week, and I'd hope for you to be the same. I do, however, like to invite people over occasionally for a birthday or another special occasion.
🐣 Me at home (and out and about 🐥)
I enjoy cooking, curling up with a cup of tea, practising yoga, reading a book, starting small creative projects which I never get to finish, and taking care of plants, or the garden if there is one! I also do have plenty of hobbies outside the house, nowadays mostly I enjoy partner dancing, nature walks, arthouse cinema and live gigs. Bristol has a lot to offer in this respect! I am a lover of swimming in the wild, but that's very seasonal (not into the ice-bath, though respect to who is).
👯♀️ Me as a flatmate
I can respect another person's space, though am also someone who likes good company and hope to offer and receive a balance of both. I don't shy away from an honest conversation about feelings, though I can also be a bit foolish at times (and, hopefully, somewhat entertaining). Expect puns and dad jokes. I am quite organised, so you can rest assured that I will keep it clean and tidy, though I won't come chasing after you with a dish brush if you leave your used cup of tea next to the sink. I will, too - but I'll likely always use the same one or two. Ideally, I'd like to share my home with someone who cares about sustainability. Though I don't define as a vegetarian, I tend to "eat food, not too much, mostly plants" (Michael Pollan). When I cook, I will share! Not much of a baker but I will eat cake if you make any...
🧠 Me as a human
I'm definitely "neuro-spicy" so an open-mind towards neurodivergence is key. I am also LGBTQIA+ friendly, and am bi-curious myself. With me, no need to worry about "acting normal". What's normality, anyway? I very much live in a happy eco-chamber of social progressivism, so when my friends come over, you can just be as you are.
📩 If that sounds like a good match, feel free to message me or express interest! If you don't have a paid-for subscription, I am able to message you back. :)
