Description
I currently live in Gloucester where I moved for work - I told myself to Give It Time, but 18 months in, I Can't Stand It Any Longer amongst the red-chino-wearing horse-racing retirees. I need to go to a pub that doesnt close at 10:30pm on a Saturday night, and to live somewhere no one tuts at my clothes. Bristol - please take me back 😫
I'll still be working up here 5 days a week so I need easy access to the M32/M5, and somewhere to park relatively easily (allocated parking would be the ideal). I'd also like somewhere where it's easy to walk to tasty treats (pints or pastries) and to get public transport to the rest of the city. Horfield, Ashley Down, Stapleton Rd, Greenbank, etc feel like the obvious choices.
Ideally, I'd like to live with people who want to chat after work, maybe even (gasp) be friends! But I get it if people are busy - housemates can just be housemates and that's fine too. I have friends in Bristol already, and I'd like somewhere I can invite a few people round for dinner, hungover Saturday brunch, or a tea & a catch up without it being a big deal (asking permission to ask my friends round for tea makes me feel about 8 years old).
I like good food, documentaries, sewing, and reading (when I actually manage to turn away from my phone!), but I'm hoping to pick up some more social hobbies back in the city - previously I've sung in choirs, and I've decided kickboxing looks kinda fun..?
I'm not sure what else to say here? But please get in touch if you have any questions.
