Description
I am looking for a medium-sized room (preferably ensuite). It can either be single or double. It should have a wardrobe and a table and chair, besides the bed and a chest of drawers. If I can't find an ensuite room, then I am looking for a household with a maximum of three residents. if there is only one bathroom. Sometimes I like keeping to my own company but I also enjoy meeting others and making friends. I appreciate a quiet place, where there are no parties or loud music. I don't smoke, so I would not be looking for a place where smoking was permitted. I am looking for somewhere which is easily accessible to public transport links and shops - also to a supermarket. I am looking for a place where it is relatively easy to get to Manchester City Centre by bus, tram or train, as I do not have my own transport.
When viewing a potential room to rent, if my potential landlord prefers me to view the room virtually in the first instance, that's fine by me.
I have stated what my sexuality is (although it doesn't define who I am) and hope to be in a household where it doesn't matter.
I enjoy going to classical music concerts and relish any chance of playing the piano. The last time I was in the Manchester area I was very fortunate to attend free concerts at MediaCity UK.
When I was last in the UK, I used to attend Quaker meetings which are conducted in what they call "collective stillness" which I found particularly therapeutic. I also practise mindfulness which helps as a relaxation exercise - in lowering stress levels.
I think the key to healthy relationships is mutual respect and a willingness to listen and learn. I like my own space but I also enjoy meeting people and making new friends. However, I am not a party-goer
By the way, I am a pensioner in receipt of an occupational pension, a state pension and a monthly income from a trust fund.
