Description
Hey there,
I am looking for a friendly, open-minded, and a little bit of an exciting household to crew up with.
I have been cat sitting my friends cats all summer and now that the holiday season is over one of them allowed me to stay in their tiny spare room (Harry Potter minus the magic is the ongoing joke about it - but it has a window) while I look for a place to settle.
I would not identify as a cat lady but all the attributes would add up to my being one... I grew up with pets and after a long break I have been fortunate enough to live with cats again in the last couple of years and I easily become their main person. I would feel at a loss if I did not get time to spend time with one wherever I live next.
I work part-time as a retrofit advisor for a charity that helps homeowners access government grants. I work 6 hours a day and only need to be in the office once or twice a week. In my spare time I am trying to eat and sleep well, to go on walks around with my friends, I definitely watch quite a few films and I have managed to get back into reading (and staying away from my phone in those in-between moments).
I studied sustainable architecture at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Wales and once I settle into a place and a better routine, I would like to start setting up a housing coop. I am also leisurely working o a documentary about co-living in London together with two friends. We can be found at colivingdoc. com but while we are collecting stories we are still working on our premise. I am also learning French and Music on duolingo.
I am a home bird rather than always out although I tend to do at least a short walk every day. I like to have friends over for coffee at the weekends, I would do drawing or writing sessions in the garden in the summer, and I host the occasional celebration. My friends have been an important part of my life in this last decade away from home and I lived with most of them at some point or another, if not met them as flatmates.
I am decently tidy but good at matching the vibe, I am respectful, and I try to make the most of the households that I get to be a part of. Feeling at ease in the kitchen, sharing meals when schedules match, and being there for one another when needed is the sort of atmosphere I tend to foster.
Thank you for taking the time to read all the above and do not hesitate to let me know your thoughts!
Bonus points if you have a space that matches my requirements.
