Description
Hi, I’m Becca - 36, professional, non-smoker, love pets but don't have any, unlikely to start learning to play the violin any time soon, quite a nice person.
My budget is around £1,075 inc bills and I'm available from late March but 1 May would be ideal.
I’m looking for somewhere for at least a year so I’d like that feels like home - calm, peaceful and has windows (is that really too much to ask?!). I'm looking for a double room, a shared living room, up to 4 other housemates, somewhere East or North East (Overground East, not Central Line East). If I’m really dreaming, it would be lovely and bright, with a balcony/garden and a cat, but I will settle for ‘has windows’.
I work in an operations/finance/projects role at a university. It’s quite a silly job but it’s in park and we have a cat in the office so it's a nice place to spend the day. I work from home on Wednesdays but I’m not on calls all day. On weeknights, I often stay late-ish in the office or I’ll be out doing something fun. I’m a huge fan of stand-up comedy and I try to see at least one show every week. I also love podcasts, theatre, art, audiobooks and attempting to placate the Duolingo owl.
As a housemate, I'm considerate and I make sure to leave shared spaces clean and tidy for others. I'm not going to start writing passive aggressive post-its if there's a mug left in the sink though. I have a great track record of buying toilet roll and I won't hog the kitchen because cooking is not my favourite. I'm vegan but don't let that put you off, I'm very happy to live with meat-eaters and I won't talk to you about it. Alternatively... I'm vegan! Which is great because I won't bring meat into your house. All bases covered.
I'm firmly in the this-isn't-a-party-house stage of life but I definitely want to get to know the people I live with and actually share the shared space. The people I live with are more important than all other factors so I’m looking for kind, thoughtful, self-aware people who are conscientious and compassionate. I’m also very neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ friendly.
I can be available for viewings on evenings and weekends. Feel free to get in touch if you think I might be a good fit.
